Tringalwadi Fort

A historic 10th-century fort at an elevation of 3000 feet near Talegaon lake.

Tringalwadi Fort is a historic hill fort located at an altitude of approximately 3,000 feet. The fort is believed to have been built in the 10th century and offers a unique insight into the Maratha and Satavahana history of the region. The fort features a small temple of Lord Hanuman and several ancient caves near the base.

The trek to the fort is moderately easy and takes about 1-2 hours from Tringalwadi village. Once at the top, you are rewarded with an incredible view of the Tringalwadi Lake (also known as Talegaon Lake) and the expansive plains below. The architectural remains of the fort still whisper stories of ancient battles and strategic importance.
