Sandhan Valley
The "Grand Canyon of Maharashtra" - a deep canyon trek for thrill-seekers.
Sandhan Valley is a deep, water-carved canyon in the Sahyadri mountains, often referred to as the "Maharashtra's Grand Canyon". It is a narrow gorge located between two massive mountain walls, where at some points, the width is less than 5 feet and the sun never reaches the bottom, earning it the name "Valley of Shadows".
This is a strictly adventure-oriented destination that requires rappelling and technical trekking skills. The trek ends with a spectacular view of the Konkan Kada. For those who dare to enter, the valley offers a unique geomorphological landscape, cold ponds to swim through, and massive boulders to scramble over, making it the ultimate Sahyadri adventure.
