Kalsubai Peak
The highest peak in Maharashtra, offering "Everest-like" views of the Sahyadri range.
Kalsubai Peak stands proudly as the highest point in Maharashtra, reaching an altitude of 1646 meters (5400 feet). Often called the "Everest of Maharashtra", the peak offers a 360-degree panoramic view of the surrounding mountain ranges, including the massive Bhandardara dam and the forts of Alang, Madan, and Kulang.
The trek to the top is challenging but well-structured, with steel ladders installed at the steepest parts to assist hikers. At the summit sits a small, dedicated temple of Goddess Kalsubai. On a clear day, the view from the top is absolutely rewarding, with clouds floating below your feet and the entire Western Ghats stretched out like a green carpet.
