Amruteshwar Temple

A 1200-year-old stone temple dedicated to Lord Shiva in the Hemadpanthi style.

The Amruteshwar Temple is an architectural gem located in the small village of Ratanwadi. Built about 1,200 years ago, this temple is a classic example of the Hemadpanthi style of architecture, which uses massive black stone blocks without the use of mortar. The intricate carvings on the pillars and walls of the temple depict various mythological scenes and characters.

Dedicated to Lord Shiva, the temple sits close to the Arthur Lake and is often the starting point for treks to the Ratangad Fort. The timeless beauty of the temple, combined with its spiritual energy and the historical aura of the Ratanwadi village, makes it one of the most culturally significant spots in the region.
